Construction of the Villas at Vinegar Hill will be wrapping up soon.
According to the Springfield Housing Authority, residents should be able to move into the new apartments by January.
The Villas will have 92 units and will house senior citizens.
We are told right now, crews are working on finishing the interior of the building.
“They are working feverishly inside. Flooring is going down in the apartments, they’re painting in the apartments. We’re working on every floor, getting the finishing touches on” said Jackie Newman, executive director of the Springfield Housing Authority.
The entire cost of the project totals to around $18 million.
