New Children’s Book Aims To Teach Morals Through Christian Short Stories

This book is a collection of witty tales meant to amuse children while exposing them to the first difficult choices in life.

Wanting to pass on the values of a Christian education, Rev. Douglas Murray and Vreni Gehring composed “Talk to the Children: A Swiss Children’s story book about Morals and Faith” (published by AuthorHouse UK), which shares a collection of traditional tales that aims to teach morals to children.

“‘Talk to the Children’ is a delightful way of building your children’s loving hearts and minds by reading them moral short stories,” the authors say. “This book is a collection of witty tales meant to amuse children while exposing them to the first difficult choices in life.”

Based on the many “talks to the children” given by Murray during his years as the minister of the Scots Kirk in Lausanne, Switzerland, and transcribed by Gehring, the book seeks to teach such ideas as being kind to others, respecting and helping others and forgiveness.

Murray and Gehring plan to donate the proceeds from the sale of “Talk to the Children” to Espoir Jeunes, a charitable association devoted to building a future for children in Burkina Faso on the west coast of Africa.
