The Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh, an independent, nonprofit leader in pediatric rehabilitative services, education, and human services, is pleased to share the selection of Dr. Wendy Ann Pardee as President and CEO of the organization, effective August 7, 2017.
Pardee will succeed long-time President and CEO David Miles, who has served The Children’s Institute for 40 years in various roles, including as a teacher in the organization’s Day School, in management positions for inpatient and outpatient services including Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, among others. Miles assumed the role of CEO in 2003.
“Under David’s leadership, The Children’s Institute achieved many operational and financial improvements, doubled the number of children and families served, and completed two comprehensive fundraising Campaigns totaling $42 million,” said John Thornburgh, Chair of The Children’s Institute’s Board of Directors. “We strongly believe Wendy is the right person to build on the tremendous accomplishments David achieved during his 14-year tenure as CEO and to lead the organization forward.”
Pardee comes to the organization with more than two decades of management experience in the healthcare, human services, and financial sectors.
