OPSWAT’s Certified Security Application Program has awarded Bronze certification to Xvirus for OPSWAT’s Anti-malware certification category. The OPSWAT certification program supports over 1,000 applications from various anti-malware engines to ensure their detection quality, their false positive responsiveness, and their compatibility with all leading access control solutions.
Xvirus is an innovative company that aims to make simplified and powerful security software available for everyone. OPSWAT awarded certification to Xvirus once it was determined that its anti-malware software met a number of strict criteria. Xvirus will be listed as an OPSWAT Bronze Certified security application.
“The OPSWAT Certified Security Application Program certifies the most effective and compatible cyber security applications on the market,” said Cristina Stet, Certification Manager at OPSWAT, “and OPSWAT is excited to recognize Xvirus with Bronze certification for the Anti-malware category. Our mission is to recognize highly compatible applications of top quality, and Xvirus has been demonstrated to be compatible with leading access control solutions.”
Dani Santos, Lead Engineer at Xvirus, commented, “Anti-malware software shouldn’t just protect the user from outside threats; it has to simplify the user’s life and give peace of mind so people can enjoy their computers and the internet safely. It isn’t just about security, but also simplicity so that security doesn’t stand in the way of people’s work and entertainment. That is our goal: to bring security and simplicity together for a safer digital world.”
The OPSWAT Certified Security Application Program was first developed in 2007 after OPSWAT gathered compatibility requirements from over 50 OPSWAT OEM customers, including leading CASB, NAC, SSL-VPN, and SSO solutions from vendors such as Cisco, Citrix, Pulse Secure, IBM, and Dell. The program is meant to help IT administrators who want to browse highly compatible and effective applications for their security stack. It’s also ideal for endpoint security applications vendors who want to certify regularly.
OPSWAT recommends that all IT administrators check OPSWAT’s list of certified security applications before making a purchase decision. Xvirus and OPSWAT encourage all encryption, patch management, and anti-malware vendors to learn more about the OPSWAT certification program, and to certify their latest product versions prior to public release.
